Syndicast delivers highly targeted, geographically relevant advertising by establishing the location of the user and pushing advertising content to the user based upon their present location. There are many methods of determining user location including GPS, ISP, Facebook checkins, etc. we deploy. As such, a user can receive an advertisement from a retailer while waling past the retail store and that advertisement may provide offerings that expire within a limited time, creating demand-based action on the part of the user.
This also enables national brands to customize offerings for mobile users while traveling. While a Macy’s customer in Minnesota in the winter will have no need for a beach umbrella, that same customer will need the umbrella, beach ball, towel and bikini once they land in Hawaii.
Syndicast provides advertisers with the ability to geographically target users based upon their proximity to any location. Broadcasters and networks can leverage this functionality into greater revenues based upon the viewership and action taken by a user. For example, a user listening to a syndicated radio program on their mobile phone can receive advisements from BestBuy only while in close proximity of a store. Syndicast can further determine if the user went into the store, how long they remained there and, through connectivity with BestBuy’s point of sale system, could even determine whether the user made a purchase.
Advertisers can continue to interleave advertisements into syndicated content and have that content delivered via the Internet to users where and how they want to receive it and now can add additional, highly targeted ads with measurable outcomes.
